Clive has been a Private Client Solicitor since 1999 and has been advising clients on Wills, Estate Planning, Probate, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Tax and Court of Protection matters since that time.
Clive was the Senior Partner of a mid-Essex High Street practice for many years. He has acted for a large number of high net worth clients over the course of time, many of who have not had simple or easy situations to cater for.
He has drafted thousands of Wills, has dealt with hundreds of estates and really enjoys ensuring that his clients are properly looked after in the best way that leaves nothing to chance.

- Clive has carried out Court of Protection work of all varieties including Deputyship applications, Statutory Wills and Codicils. He has in the past acted on behalf of Deputy in an application for a Statutory Will where estate was worth £2.5M and involving numerous charities, family members and Official Solicitor.
- He has acted as trustee in a £4M discretionary trust where matters were very contentious between all 3 beneficiaries, overseeing a resolution between them.
- Clive has have advised on the application of Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief many times both in context of estate planning and making claims post death with HMRC.

Clive has been involved in the following notable cases:
- In the past few years, Clive has successfully argued with HMRC for the application of Business Property Relief in a probate matter involving livery stables, which was initially denied, resulting in a saving of over £500K for client (based on the principles discussed in HMRC v The Personal Representative of Maureen Vigne).
